Scholarships at KSDO
Why Our Scholarships Matter
At KSDO, we believe that knowledge is freedom. We know brilliant young people exist across South Sudan whose potential is held back by poverty, limited access to quality education, or lack of support. Our scholarship programme is designed to bridge that gap — offering the chance for deserving students to pursue secondary, diploma and undergraduate studies, and to build leadership that uplifts whole communities.

What We Offer
- Annual Scholarships: Each year, KSDO awards 20–25 scholarships to students from low-income, orphaned or disabled backgrounds.
- Levels Supported: High school, diploma and undergraduate programmes are our primary focus (graduate/postgraduate candidates are eligible but given second priority).
- Priority Disciplines: At the undergraduate level we give preference to disciplines such as Mathematics/Engineering, Economics, Education, Medical Sciences, Rural Development, Applied Statistics, Social Work, Agriculture and Technology.
- Beyond Fees: Our support goes beyond just tuition — recipients may also receive assistance with learning materials, orientation and mentoring to succeed in their studies and serve in their communities.

Who Can Apply
We welcome applications from individuals who:
- Are from impoverished backgrounds, orphans, persons with disabilities, or from low-income communities.
- Are enrolled in or seeking enrollment in high school, diploma or undergraduate programmes.
- Have strong academic performance or demonstrated promise (merit-based) and clear need for support.
- Preferably, are committed to returning to serve in low-income communities (especially as teachers, community workers or technical professionals).
